Hiving a Bee Swarm Video Clips. Duration : 8.75 Mins.
Following the capture of my swarm from the top of a large tree, this is the process of 'walking' them into the new hive. This is done to get them to accept the hive as if they had found it themselves and apparently works better than dumping them into the hive. Anyway, it's truly amazing!
Yeast infections that affect a baby's diaper area not the same thing as diaper rash. Unfortunately, many well meaning parents use regular diaper cream and baby powder on the yeast infection and this will do nothing to cure it.
A yeast infection is different from a diaper rash in that it appears as a flat, red rash with scalloped edges that have some tiny rashes nearby it. A yeast infection rash may extend along the pubic area and onto the lower part of the baby's abdomen.
Bee Stings Remedies
The yeast infections that affect babies are called Candidas albicans, which is the most tasteless cause of all types of yeast infections. A pediatrician can rule either a rash on the groin or a thrush in the mouth of babies is a yeast infection. To get a definite diagnosis the physician may study the scrapings of a yeast infection under a microscope.

Babies who are on antibiotics or who are being breastfed by mothers who are taking antibiotics are at higher risk for yeast infections. That's because antibiotics kill the good bacteria in the body that keep yeast in check. Without these bacteria around, yeast and grow more abundantly.
While applying diaper cream may bring your baby temporary relief from the itching and soreness it will not heal the infection. Without permissible treatment, a yeast infection in the baby's diaper area will get progressively worse.
Anti-fungal medications are the only types of treatment that can get rid of yeast infections. Some pediatricians might write a prescribe for Nystatin while others may propose and over the counter treatment like Lotrim Af to treat the diaper yeast infection.
Using antifungal cream, soaking the baby in warm water two times a day and frequent diaper changes will commonly clear up a yeast infection within a few days. While you are treating the yeast infection make sure that your baby's diapers are loose adequate to let air in. When changing your child's diapers, make sure the skin on his buttocks and groin area is clean and dry.
Some holistic medical practitioners advocate the use of a diaper cream containing tea tree oil to help clear yeast infections in the diaper area. Others propose using aloe or pressing damp chamomile teabags directly on the baby's rash. If the yeast persists for more than a week or if your baby has fever or chills you should consult with your pediatrician.
Yeast infections in baby's can occur despite our best efforts. However, frequent diaper changes can decrease the chances of an infection occurring. Children with yeast infections in the diaper area should not be excluded from daycare because these types of infections are not contagious.
If your baby recently had thrush (a yeast infection in the mouth), her or she may end up with a yeast infection in the diaper area, too. That's because yeast passes straight through your baby's digestive ideas when he eats and winds up in his stool, which at last lands in his diaper right next to his warm, damp skin. Yeast thrives in warm, damp environments.

All dogs have cold and wet noses. When a puppy or adult dog becomes sick they will have a dry and warm nose. This will let you know your dog is having a fever. Fevers are not bad per say because it is a natural body reaction and the increased body climatic characteristic is a sign the immune theory is fighting of the sickness. You can also take your dogs climatic characteristic but this can be very difficult to do so feeling the nose is the best way for a quick answer.
When ever you observation your dog vomiting or not being itself feel the puppies nose and if it is warm then you should call your vet and ask what you can do. Be sure and corollary the vet's advice. I was visiting my brother just last week and his wife noticed their 9 moth old boxer had baseball size bruise on its side. The bruise was noticeable up close but not far away. My brother understanding it might just be a beesting and gave it no more thought. His wife felt the dog's nose and it was dry and warm. To make a long story short she called the vet and the next morning took the dog in. It ended up being a huge infection from something and the vet said if she did not take him in he probably would have died in a matter of days. The moral here is to all the time call a professional when in doubt.
When your puppy is ill give him a quiet place to sleep and make it a comfortable as possible. Taking care of your sick puppy is just as uncomplicated as taking care of a sick human. In most cases you should only give the dog water and no food for that day.
It has been proven that puppies reply to love more then they do food. Try and give them lots of it. Pet the dog and let him lay in your lap. This will relax your sick little pet. Often times a vet will tell you to crush half an aspirin and feed it to your dog with water. Please call your vet first before ever giving your dog any medicine because what is good for humans may kill your pup.
When you go to bed at night let the puppy sleep in your room. This of course does a lot for the pup because he knows you are there. This will also let you keep a close eye on him so you can monitor his condition and be able to tell if he gets any worse. If the dog is still sick in the morning you should bring him into a vet clinic.
Puppies are commonly not sick for a long period of time. In most cases it will only last a day. If it lasts longer please call your vet because something may be very wrong. If corollary these tasteless puppy care tips your pup will be running around your home in know time at all.

Doing the 'bees in the boot' dance to get them out! No stings though!
What could be easier than growing an herb orchad with no effort? Of course, you'll have to harvest your weeds, but you would do that anyhow: it's called weeding.
Spring is an especially fertile time for harvesting your weeds - roots and all - and turning them into medicines. Here then are some tips on how to find, harvest, prepare, and use a baker's dozen (13) of coarse weeds that probably already grow nearby you.
Bee Stings Remedies
To make your medicines you'll need glass jars of discrete sizes with tight-fitting lids. And at least a pint each of apple cider vinegar (pasteurized), vodka (100 proof is best, but 80 proof will do), and pure olive oil (not extra virgin) or good quality animal fat such as lanolin, lard, or belly fat from a lamb or kid. You will also want a knife, a cutting board, and some rags to mop up spills.

2oz. Wounded Warrior All Natural Topical Ointment Overview
Creator Red Alderman tells Why Wounded Warrior Works Better Than Anything Else on The Market: I supplied herbs from the North Carolina mountains to pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and natural product companies around the world. Realizing the need for an all natural, but standardized topical ointment (heal-all), I experimented for several years with combinations of herbs that eventually became Wounded Warrior. Wounded Warrior is made from wildcrafted or organically grown herbs that are processed - while still fresh - in pharmaceutical grade alcohol (derived from corn). The extraction process for each herb follows the standards of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the US. These extracts are then blended into Aloe Vera Gel.

In general, you will fill a jar (of any size) with coarsely-chopped fresh, but dry, plant material. (Do not wash any part of the plant except roots, if you are using them, and be sure to dry those well with a towel before putting them in your jar.) Then you will fill the jar with your menstruum, that is the vinegar, the oil, or the alcohol. Label well and allow to stand at room temperature, out of the sunlight for at least six weeks before decanting and using. (See my book healing Wise for more exact information on manufacture preparations.)
A field guide is helpful for well identifying your weeds. The one I like best is: A Guide to the Identification of New Zealand coarse Weeds in Colour, complied by E. A. Upritchard. (Available from the New Zealand Weed And Pest control Society, P.O. Box 1654, Palmerston North) This book even shows you how the weeds look when they are emerging.
Ready? Ok! Let's go face with a plant id guide or experienced herbalist and see what we can find.
Shepherd's purse (Capsella bursa pastoris) is an every year in the mustard family. Cut the top half of the plant when it has formed its slight heart-shaped "purses" (seed pods) and make a tincture (with alcohol), which you can use to stop bleeding. Midwives and women who bleed heavily while their duration praise its prompt effectiveness. Gypsies claim it works on the stomach and lungs as well. A dose is 1 dropperful (1ml); which may be repeated up to four times a day.
Cleavers (Gallium aparine) is a persistent, sticky plant which grows profusely in abandoned lots and the edges of cultivated land. The whole plant is used to expand lymphatic activity. I cut the top two-thirds of each plant while it is in flower (or setting seeds) and use alcohol to make a tincture which relieves tender, swollen breasts, Pms symptoms, and allergic reactions. A dose is 15-25 drops (.5 - 1 ml); repeated as needed.
Chickweed (Stellaria media) has many uses, together with appetizing salad greens. I cut the whole top of the plant and eat it or use alcohol to make a tincture, which dissolves cysts, tonifies the thyroid, and aids in weight loss. A dose is a dropperful (1 ml), up to three times a day.
Daisy (Bellis perennis) is a coarse perennial weed of lawns and open areas. Quite separate from the native daisy (Lagenifera petiolata), the slight English daisy is associated to feverfew and has similar abilities. I use the leaves and flowers to make a tincture (with alcohol) or a healthful vinegar which relieves headaches, muscle pain, and allergy symptoms. A dose is a dropperful of the tincture (1 ml), up to twice a day; or a tablespoon of the vinegar in the morning.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinalis) is a persistent perennial of lawns and gardens and one of the best known healthful herbs in the world. (The native dandelion of New Zealand - Taraxacum magellanicum - is healthful too.) Those who love a pure green lawn curse the sunny yellow flowers of coarse dandelion. But those who are willing to see charm in any place (such as children and herbalists) treasure this weed. You can use any part of the dandelion - the root, the leaves, the flowers, even the flower stalk - to make a tincture or healthful vinegar which strengthens the liver. A dose of 10-20 drops of the tincture (.5-1 ml) relieves gas, heartburn, and indigestion, as well as promoting wholesome bowel movements. A tablespoon of the vinegar works well, too. More importantly, taken before meals, dandelion increases the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, thus increasing bio-availability of many nutrients, especially calcium. The fresh or cooked green leaves are loaded with carotenes, those anti-cancer, anti-heart disease helpers. And the oil of the flowers is an foremost massage balm for maintaining wholesome breasts. (There's lots more information on dandelions in Healing Wise.)
Dock, also called yellow dock, curly dock, and broad dock is a perennial plant, which my Native American grandmothers use for "all women's problems." The Maori call it paewhenua or runa. It is an additional one plant that disagrees with sheep, especially when the land is overgrazed. I dig the yellow roots of Rumex crispus or R. Obtusifolius and tincture them in alcohol to use as an ally when the immune law or the liver needs help. A dose is 15-25 drops (.5-1 ml). I also harvest the leaves and/or seeds throughout the growing season and make a healthful vinegar, taken a tablespoon at a time, which is used to growth blood-levels of iron, reduce menstrual flooding and cramping, and equilibrium hormone levels. If the chopped roots are soaked in oil for six weeks, the resulting ointment is useful for keeping the breasts healthy.
Groundsel (Senecio vulgaris) and Ragwort (Senecio jacobea) are hardy perennials that have a credit for poisoning livestock, like their cousin tansy. Although not good for sheep, these two Senecios are some of the world's most aged healing plants, having been found in a grave 60,000 years old. You can use the flowering tops and leaves with your alcohol to make a tincture which acts slowly to tonify the reproductive organs, ease Pms, and stop severe menstrual pain. A dose is 5-10 drops (.2-.5 ml) per day, used only once a day, but for at least 3 months. (A larger dose is used to speed up labor.)
Mallows (Malva neglecta, M. Parviflora, M. Sylvestres) grow well in neglected gardens and are surprisingly deep-rooted. The flowers, leaves, stalks, seeds, and roots are rich in sticky mucilage which is best extracted by soaking the fresh plant in cold water overnight or longer or by manufacture a healthful vinegar. The starch is extraordinarily soothing internally (easing sore throats, upset tummies, heart burn, irritable bowel, colic, constipation, and food poisoning) and externally (relieving bug bites, burns, sprains, and sore eyes). The leaves, flowers, and bark (especially) of the native Hohere (Hoheria populnea) are used in exactly the same way by Maori herbalists.
Plantain, also called ribwort, pig's ear, and the bandaid plant is a coarse weed of lawns, driveways, parks, and playgrounds. Recognize it by the five parallel veins running the length of each leaf. You may find broad leaf plantain (Plantago major) with wide leaves, or narrow leaf plantain (Plantago lanceolata) with lance-thin leaves. Either can be used to make a healing poultice or a soothing oil widely regarded as one of the best wound healers around. Not only does plantain growth the speed of healing, it also relieves pain, stops bleeding, draws out foreign matter, stops itching, prevents and stops allergic reactions from bee stings, kills bacteria, and reduces swelling.
Try a poultice or a generous application of plantain oil or ointment (made by thickening the oil with beeswax) on sprains, cuts, insect bites, rashes, chafed skin, boils, bruises, chapped and cracked lips, rough or sore hands, baby's diaper area, and burns.
To make a fresh plantain poultice: Pick a leaf, chew it well and put it on the boo-boo. "Like magic" the pain, itching, and swelling disappear, fast! (Yes, you can dry plantain leaves and carry them in your first aid kit. Chew like you would fresh leaves.)
To make plantain ointment: Pick large fresh plantain leaves. Chop coarsely. Fill a clean, dry, glass jar with the chopped leaves. Pour pure olive oil into the leaves, poking about with a chopstick until the jar is thoroughly full of oil and all air bubbles are released. Cap well. Place jar in a small bowl to gather any overflow. Wait six weeks. Then strain oil out of the plant material, squeezing well. Measure the oil. Heat it gently, adding one tablespoon of grated beeswax for every liquid ounce of oil. Pour into jars and allow to cool.
St. Joan's/John's wort (Hypericum perforatum) This beautiful perennial wildflower may be hated by sheep farmers but herbalists adore it. The flowering tops are harvested after they begin to bloom (traditionally on Solstice, June 21) and ready with alcohol, and with oil, to make two of the most useful remedies in my first aid kit. Tincture of St. Joan's wort not only lends one a sunny disposition, it reliably relieves muscle aches, is a grand anti-viral, and is my first-choice rehabilitation for those with shingles, sciatica, backpain, neuralgia, and headaches together with migraines. The usual dose is 1 dropperful (1 ml) as often as needed. In greatest pain from a muscle spasm in my thigh, I used a dropperful every twenty minutes for two hours, or until the pain totally subsided. St. Joan's wort oil stops cold sores in their tracks and can even ease genital herpes symptoms. I use it as a sunscreen. Contrary to beloved belief, St. Joan's wort does not cause sun sensitivity; it prevents it. It even prevents burns from radiation therapy. Eases sore muscles, too.
Self heal (Prunella vulgaris) This scentless perennial mint is one of the great unsung healers of the world. The leaves and flowers consist of more antioxidants - which preclude cancer and heart disease, among other wholesome traits - than any other plant tested. And as part of the mint family, self heal is imbued with lots of minerals, especially calcium, manufacture it an especially foremost ally for pregnant, nursing, menopausal, and post-menopausal women. I put self heal leaves in salads in the spring and fall, make a healthful vinegar with the flowers while the summer, and cook the flowering tops (fresh or dried) in winter soups.
Usnea (Usnea barbata) is that many-stranded grey lichen hanging out of the branches of your apple trees or the Monterey pines planted in the plantation over there or in almost any native tree in areas of the South Island Alps, where it is known as angiangi to the Maori. If in doubt of your identification: Pull a shore slowly apart with your hands, finding for a white fiber inside the fuzzy grey-green outer coat. To get ready usnea, harvest at any time of the year, being truthful not to take too much. Usnea grows slowly. Put your harvest in a cooking pan and just cover it with cold water. Boil for about 15-25 minutes, or until the water is orange and reduced by at least half. Pour usnea and water into a jar, filling it to the top with plant material. (Water should be no more than half of the jar.) Add the top proof alcohol you can buy. After 6 weeks this tincture is ready to work for you as a superb antibacterial, countering infection in any place in the body. A dose is a dropperful (1 ml) as often as every two hours in acute situations.
Yarrow (Achellia millefolium) This lovely perennial weed is grown in many herb gardens for it has a multitude of uses. Cut the flowering tops (use only white-flowering yarrow) and use your alcohol to make a strongly-scented tincture that you can take internally to preclude colds and the flu. (A dose is 10-20 drops, or up to 1 ml). I carry a slight spray bottle of yarrow tincture with me when I'm face and wet my skin every hour or so. A United States Army study showed yarrow tincture to be more productive than Deet at repelling ticks, mosquitoes, and sand flies. You can also make a healing ointment with yarrow flower tops and your oil or fat. Yarrow oil is antibacterial, pain-relieving, and incredibly helpful in healing all types of wounds.

I am writing this report as a way of promoting our fly killer machines. It provides information on diseases that can be caused by house flies.
Houseflies frequent dung heaps and other fecal sources. They also visit decaying matter together with dead animals. When landing on food that is ready for human consumption, contaminated material is often transferred to the food.
Bee Stings Remedies
There are a wide range of diseases that can be transmitted by flies. Here are some of them:
Diseases from House Flies
Typhoid Fever (Salmonella typhi)
Symptoms: High climatic characteristic (up to 104 deg F or 40 deg C), loss of appetite, headache, stomach pain and ordinarily some weakness. Sometimes a pink skin rash appears.
Treatment: A physician will ordinarily prescribe an antibiotic and the symptoms will cease in a few days. If no treatment is given, the field may become seriously ill and even die from secondary problems (up to 20% typhoid fever sufferers die without treatment).
Cholera (cause by Vibria cholerae, a bacterium)
Symptoms: unexpected episodes of watery diarrhoea that contains flecks of white mucous material, stomach pains, dry or sticky mouth, sunken eyes, concentrated coloured urine, in a child a markedly sunken fontanelles (the soft spot at the top of the head), dry skin, nausea and vomiting (usually).
Treatment: Cases can vary from mild to serious. If untreated, serious cases can lead to imminent death. Drink plentifulness of fresh water, mixed with small quantities of salt and sugar. This will restore the body's fluid. Treatment must be given immediately.
Escherichia coli
Symptoms: This depends on the strain of Escherichia coli. Most strains are inoffensive and consequent in no detectable symptoms. Other strains, such as O157:H7 can sometimes cause bloody diarrhea. In a very small whole of cases Escherichia coli O157:H7 can lead to hemolytic uremic syndrome that can lead to kidney failure in young children. For most of us, and for most of the time, Escherichia coli causes no problems.
Treatment: No treatment is necessary, unless uremic syndrome occurs, in which case a blood transfusion and kidney dialysis may be required.
Shigellosis (cause by Shigella, a bacterium)
Symptoms: Diarrhoea (often bloody), fever, and stomach pains. Most cases are mild and may not even be noticed. In a small whole of cases, the very young and very old may be vulnerable to high climatic characteristic fever, maybe (and rarely) prominent to a seizure in a toddler.
These are just some of the illnesses that can be spread by houseflies. Be on your guard. To be safe you may wish to setup a fly killer machine (details follow).

Dog beestings can be quite tasteless in summer and they are just as painful for your dog as they are for you!
If you've spend any time outside with your pet in warmer weather, you've probably noticed that he loves to snap at flying insects with his mouth. God only knows why dogs like to do this as the effect is often a painful sting in a very sensitive area.
Bee Stings Remedies
Of course, you 'll know right away if your dog has been stung as he will be scratching and pawing at his mouth. A hornet, wasp or beesting can also cause your dog to salivate profusely and it can be a bit upsetting to see your dog foam at the mouth, especially if you don't know the cause.
Dog Bee Stings - How to Keep Your Pet From Suffering
Here are some things you can do to comfort the suffering of dog beestings:
1. Try to bathe the area of the sting with a explication of warm (not too hot) water and bicarbonate of soda. A ratio of 1 tbsp bicarbonate to 2 pints of water is sufficient and will not be harmful if ingested. Bathe every 10 minutes until it seems like the stinging has subsided.
2. You can also apply Ammoniated quinine directly to the area.
3. Most dogs take a beesting in stride, but if yours is acting surely agitated, you might try giving him some potassium bromide to calm him down.
4. If the dog will let you, you could try to remove the stinger with tweezers - if you can surely see where the stinger is.
5. Don't feel silly about taking your dog to the vet so that she can study the sting. If she see's fit, she can give your dog a shot of anti-histamine that will comfort the swelling and itching as well as forestall any systemic disturbances.
Just like with kids, dog beestings can be a normal part of the summer routine. But just because you see your dog snapping at bees does not mean that he will necessarily be stung. I had one dog that snapped at them all day long and seemingly never got stung once! However, if yours is stung, you now know what to do to ease his pain.

What causes vaginal burning? I have a burning sensation while weeing, why is this? Why when I urinate does it sting? Burning or stinging while urinating can be caused by some things, but most tasteless cause is infection.
In a lot of cases of vaginal burning it is not that at all, meaning, when the skin round the vagina is grazed from let us say shaving or scratching, it can get confusing so that you think the sting is arrival from the vagina, when in fact it is the urine arrival in caress with the open skin. An open cut anywhere on the body will sting if clear fluids as much as touches it.
Bee Stings Remedies
More often than not burning is a indication of illness of an infection in the urinary tract. Although more tasteless in women men too can suffer this, but for men it can get pretty serious once it happens.

When a man goes for a wee the infection passes straight through the body which causes the pain or burning sensation. Pain can happen in any section of the urinary system, together with kidney, bladder or the urethra.
Infection is brought about by bacteria that breed at the opportunity of the urethra and start to propagate. Of course this is not the only presume for the discomfort. Sexually transmitted diseases can also be accountable for the same symptoms. Locating exactly where the pain is arrival from will help get to the root of the problem.
Keep a check on your urine. Look for traces of blood and keep an eye on the colour (orange, yellow, clear and cloudy) as this tells you a lot. If you caress burning and it lasts for more than a day, see a doctor.
Using home remedies to relax symptoms of an infection is all well and good, but there are some stages that an infection might reach that would need a doctor to treat, so bear this in mind. It may take more than a glass of cranberry juice if you had this mind.
Why are women prone to urinary tract infections?
The rectum and vagina are ideal incubators for bacteria that all too in fact carry on to work its way to the around urethra, the outlet tube for urine. Because the urethra is short in women, it gives an easy pathway for the bacteria to assault the bladder, causing cystitis. All genders young and old carry yeast in and on their bodies without any problems. Yeast is notably known living in the intestines, vagina, mouth and skin. This may not sound salutary but the body has 'friendly' bacteria which help keep yeast levels low.
Soreness, swelling and redness are former symptoms if delicate tissue of the vagina is infected. Thrush not only causes a stinging sensation when peeing but is painful too. The sting is due to inflamed tissues in the vagina. It is painful to have sex, sexual intercourse should not even be thought about until the infection is cleared. All women have a vaginal dismissal and know what the norm is, but if thrush is present it can show up white and thick (not all the time) with a strong smell of yeast and like yoghurt to look at. It can also be watery with a light smell. Yeast thrives in warm, moist locations with low acidity and an ample furnish of sugar.
Taking antibiotics can cause the infection.
Antibiotics kill friendly bacteria of which is needed to keep yeast levels low. Antibiotic drugs are prescribed to fight infections, but while doing so can kill 'friendly' bacteria, such as lactobacilli. Without lactobacilli, the equilibrium in the vagina is upset giving cause to Candida.
1.Taking the birth operate pill affects hormones which result in a woman`s quality to metabolize (process) sugar. Yeast feeds on sugar, and any extra furnish in the body, will give infer for yeast to form more. Because of this, they say taking the pill no longer augments a woman`s risk of thrush.
2. Women who suffer from diabetes are more likely to suffer because diabetes increases blood sugar levels, which may, in turn, higher the sugar level in vaginal secretions. Diabetic women regularly have high sugar levels in their urine, therefore encouraging thrush by feeding on yeast

Thunder god vine
A supplement that is derived from a perennial vine that is
native to Asia, also in areas of China, Korea, and Japan. The root is peeled
away to make this herbal supplement and is by tradition, been used to treat
autoimmune illnesses and inflammatory conditions. It has been find by study
that thunder god vine does unquestionably contain anti-inflammatory activity, and some
immune-boosting action has also been discovered. One clinical trial carried
out at the University of Texas Southwestern healing town found that roughly
80 per cent of those patients who were given a high dose of the plant
supplement found that their Rheumatoid arthritis symptoms got great
considerably. However, researchers have found that this and other studies are
too small to prove the true efficacy of this plant-derived supplement.
Cherries
To take away the pain of gout, eat 6-8 cherries per day. They can be
tinned, frozen or fresh. This is a Japanese treatment, which they have used
for centuries. They also boil the cherries down into a syrup which makes a
strong sweet drink. The cherry is a very good source of magnesium (which is a
natural painkiller) and potassium. The potassium acts as a diuretic, reducing
inflammation by ridding tissue of fluid.
Dandelion leaves
One of the best remedies for treating arthritic conditions probably
grows right in your backyard: fresh young dandelion leaves. Because of the
high vitamin A and C content, when eaten raw in salads, these greens help the
body to repair damaged tissues and help the liver clear toxins out of the
blood. European herbalists have used these anti-pain dandelion recipes for
many years. Older leaves should be steam or sauté - like spinach, this is
because they are too tough to eat raw. You can also heighten the taste by
cooking with garlic or add olive oil for a tasty dish. Dandelion can also be
made into a tea: Steep, just 1 teaspoon of dried leaves or 3 teaspoons of
fresh leaves in 1 cup of boiling water. Or make a coffee-like, but
bitter-tasting, beverage by boiling, and then straining, 4 ounces of fresh
root in 2 pints of water. Taken daily, this is a good guard against winter
colds.
Desert devil Devil's-claw
An ominous-sounding cure - comes from the Kalahari Desert of South
Africa. For at least 250 years, the Hottentots, Bantus, and Bushmen (all
native tribes of this region) have treated arthritis pain with this large
claw-like fruit that can trap and injure livestock. The tribesmen's favourite
method is to draw an extract from the root and brew it into a tea.
Alternatively, devil's-claw can be dried, powdered, and taken in tablet form.
Recent French and German studies found that the pain-relief of devil's-claw is
similar to that of cortisone. The root acts mainly as an anti-inflammatory, an
effect of harpagoside, its active ingredient. Preparations using the whole
plant work even great because it contains additional compounds, such as
flavonoids, that heighten the anti-inflammatory effect. Devil's-claw is
available in many forms straight through most mailorder herb fellowships and condition food
stores.
Molasses
The British, known for their fondness for sweets, swear by crude
blackstrap molasses dissolved in water. When taken every morning, they say
this preparation eases and even eliminates pain in the joints. This is some
feat in England! (Cold, damp climates regularly aggravate a case of arthritis.)
The molasses is an exquisite source of minerals, together with iron, potassium,
and magnesium. It is also a concentrated sweet. So it is prominent to rinse
your mouth out or brush your teeth after using this treatment. Otherwise, you
may be trading one pain (arthritis) for an additional one - a toothache!
Cooper bracelets
This does vindicate old wives. Until recently, Western doctors dismissed
as folklore the idea of wearing copper bracelets as a way of treating
arthritis. Indeed, there are many doctors who are still sceptical. Researchers
in Australia, however, have found that copper, when coupled with aspirin, is
more efficient than aspirin alone in treating the pain of arthritis. Since
many substances are absorbed straight through the skin, there may be some truth in this
old wives' tale. Cooper bracelets are ready all over the net.
Ginger.
Ginger is very efficient in the treatment of arthritis and a host of
other ailments. recent healing study in Holland has indicated that this,
too, is much more than just myth. Eating ginger does, according to the Dutch
doctors, help alleviate arthritis pain. Use the ginger with anything...soups,
sauces, or salads.
BeeStings
An arthritis therapy that may sound more like a punishment was used
2,000 years ago by Hippocrates - beestings. Once carefully to be the prominent
cure for rheumatism, arthritis, and gout, beestings were used for centuries
by old Europeans.Based on this original therapy, scientists in
Switzerland, France, Germany, and Great Britain devised a treatment that
employed a series of injections of the venom- using either a hypodermic needle
or a live bee! The bee venom, like many noxious substances, stimulates the
immune system to issue inflammatory substances. This is known as the counter
irritation theory.
Saint Hildegard's Ointment
Hildegard was a mystic from 12th century Germany whose wisdom still
holds true to day. She said " Detoxify, purify, and regenerate the whole
organism." Hildegard's recipe for an arthritis ointment was to take 4 parts
vermouth, 2 parts deer fat, and 2 parts deer marrow, and mix it into a salve.
This ointment was massaged on the painful joints while the sufferer sat in
front of an elmwood fire. The warmth of the fire and the stimulation of blood
flow from the massage were unquestionably the prominent parts of the treatment. So if
you cannot get your hands on any deer fat. Goose fat is a much great choice
and is ready all over the net. To get rid of the rheumatic toxins that
caused pain, Hildegard prescribed eating fragrant, raw quince. The fruit can
be cooked in water or wine, baked in a cake or pie, or made into jellies and
candy ( this is popular today during holiday seasons). Hildegard's advice to
gout sufferers was to slowly chew (before breakfast) 1 to 3 teaspoons of
celery seed powder mixed with spices such as rue, cloves, and saxifrage. For a
better taste, the celery powder can be sprinkled on bread with quince jelly.
Celery is a diuretic, and the loss of excess fluid can sacrifice the inflammation
associated with the arthritis. Rue contains ruin, which can progress blood
vessels (preventing them from leaking fluid into tissue and thus preventing
inflammation).Warning: Don't use rue during pregnancy. It can bring on
bleeding.
Aloe Vera
Aloe, by its self does not cure or heal anything; it is the
beneficial effects of over 200 separate nutritional constituents and the way
they react to help sacrifice inflammation and pain which promote healing. Aloe
Vera gives a great boost to the immune system and energy levels. So, In other
words.....Aloe Vera provides the body with the right agents to take care of
itself and to restore and repair body functions and the body's own healing
process.
Many people think that because they are taking an herbal supplement or
botanical-based drug therapy, there will be no side effects. The truth is that
herbal supplements can be quite noteworthy and can have strong side effects.
Many if not most of all approved drug therapies are derived from plants
and herbs.
The bad news is that there is not enough enough study to
conclusively prove the efficacy of many of these herbal supplements and
botanical-based drugs. Before you try any herbal supplement, it is
important that you discuss its use with your doctor.
